General Questions

How can I find my nearest store?
Head here and enter your town or postcode into the search box underneath the Map. 

Where do I find the opening hours?
Opening hours can be found on the column on the right-hand side of the store Address in the grid or it is also visible by clicking on the store on the map.

Can I return from one store to another store?
At the moment this is not possible within the group to return to a store that's different to the store of purchase. However, this is something we're looking into! Bare with us.

How can I tell if the item I want is in my local Cadcet shop?
On each product page throughout the website, there is a little stock level box located underneath the product. This will show all the stock levels throughout our stores. You can also enter your postcode to adjust the results from closest to furthest.

The goods I want are not in my local store, how can I get them? 
Gadcetare online at gadcet.com, so you can get what you want to deliver right to your door.

Is the stock on the website accurate? 
Yes, it is! Our EPOS is cloud-based, so as soon as stock is bought and sold the stock level indicator takes it into account.

How can I find out more about the goods I’m thinking of buying?

Where can I find the phone number for my local CeX store?
Good news, we have in-store phone numbers for all our stores, so it's easier for you to get in touch with us! You can find the store phone numbers over at the Store Locator Page

Product Questions


Will the phone I buy work on any network? 
If your selection is ‘Unlocked’ it sure will, as our ‘Unlocked’ phones are not tied to any specific network and can be used with any compatible service provider.

What payment options do I have to buy my item in store? 
You can choose from the following options:

  • Cash payment
  • Visa and Mastercard credit cards
  • Visa Debit, Maestro and Solo debit cards
  • Cadcet voucher for items you trade into Gadcet.

Are some of your products age rated? 
Yes. All films are age rated by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) and all games are either rated by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) or PEGI (Pan-European Games Information). Games can also include a content warning - for example, sexual content, violence or bad language. Ratings are enforced by law and it is an offense to attempt to buy a certificated title if you are under age or to attempt to purchase one on behalf of someone else that is underage. 

Can I trade items I have purchased? 
Yes! Please note if you want to sell multiples of the same/similar item a bulk discount may be applied.

Membership Requirements

Gadcet membership allows you to sell and trade your items with us at anyone of our UK wide stores or online at our website webuy.com. It’s free and easy to become a member! We have 3 types of membership.

Reserve Membership
You do not need to bring ID to sign up for Reserve Membership.
We will just be needing your name, postcode & contact number from yourself

Note: Reserve Membership only allows you to leave a deposit on items, which will reserve the item for you for 3 months.

Bronze

You do not need to bring ID to sign up for Reserve Membership.
We will just be needing your name, postcode & contact number from yourself

Note: Can’t sell any items, restricted for repairs and reserving items.

Silver

You will need to bring ONE Single Photo ID along with yourself to create a silver ranked account.

Note: You'll be restricted to only selling DVD's, Accessories & Games.

Valid Forms Of ID:

  • Driving Licence
  • Passport
  • Citizen Card
  • CSCS Card

Gold

For a full Gold ranked membership at Gadcet you'll need to bring one photo ID & also one form of address from within the past 3 months.

Valid Forms Of ID:

  • Driving Licence
  • Passport
  • Citizen Card
  • CSCS Card

Address Verification:

  • Bank Statement
  • Utility Bill
  • Council Tax Bill

Note: No restriction on selling, can bring any item you please.
