Sucker Punch Productions' open-world action series full of superpowers and parkour-like acrobatics returns with a new protagonist and a new setting in Infamous: Second Son. The game is set seven years after the good conclusion of Infamous 2 marked the end of Cole MacGrath. Second Son puts players in control of Delsin Rowe, an aimless 25-year-old graffiti artist who discovers he can mimic the abilities of other super powered conduits. While the first two games in the series were set in the fictional cities of Empire City (New York) and New Marais (New Orleans), Second Son is set in a locked-down version of Seattle, complete with early morning fog, frequent rain, and the iconic Space Needle. Delsin's main melee weapon is a Kratos-like chain wrapped around his arm, but contacting other conduits will allow him to wield a variety of powers, each with projectile, melee, and grenade attacks. Smoke powers, for instance, are recharged at fires and chimneys and let Delsin float through air vents and launch over rooftops. The series' Karma system returns in Second Son, with gamers once again choosing to use their powers for good or ill, and the story changing slightly based on their choices. Delsin is joined in his battle against the DUP by his police officer brother, and by a variety of NPCs and conduits who can also be persuaded to use their powers for good or for evil.
