Take powerful JBL sound anywhere with the JBL Charge 6 Portable Bluetooth Speaker in Camouflage, officially named Squad by JBL. Combining upgraded JBL Pro Sound, intelligent AI Sound Boost, up to 28 hours of playback, rugged IP68 protection and a built-in powerbank, the Charge 6 is designed for music at home, outdoors, on holiday and everywhere in between.

At the heart of the Charge 6 is a redesigned two-way speaker system featuring a 53 × 93mm woofer and 20mm tweeter. JBL's current specification rates the woofer at 30W RMS and the tweeter at 15W RMS, providing a combined 45W RMS output with a frequency response of 56Hz–20kHz.

The new JBL AI Sound Boost system analyses the incoming audio signal in real time and dynamically optimises speaker performance. JBL designed the technology to maximise acoustic output while controlling distortion, helping the compact Charge 6 deliver fuller bass, clean vocals and detailed higher frequencies without requiring a physically larger speaker.

Battery life reaches up to 24 hours under standard playback, with JBL Playtime Boost extending this by up to another four hours for a maximum advertised runtime of up to 28 hours. When time is short, Fast Charge can provide approximately 150 minutes of additional playback from only 10 minutes of charging under JBL's specified conditions.

The Charge name remains appropriate thanks to the speaker's integrated USB-C powerbank functionality. Connect a compatible mobile device and the Charge 6 can provide power while continuing to play music, helping keep your phone running when you are away from a mains socket. JBL notes that the powerbank is intended for mobile devices and does not support laptop charging.

Built for outdoor use, the Charge 6 carries an IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating. JBL laboratory testing covers immersion in up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes, while its reinforced construction is also tested to survive a 1-metre drop onto concrete.

Bluetooth connectivity has been upgraded to Bluetooth 5.4, and Auracast support allows two Charge 6 speakers to be paired for a wider stereo soundstage or multiple compatible Auracast-enabled JBL speakers to play the same music across a larger area.

For higher-quality wired playback, the USB-C connection can also provide lossless digital audio playback from a compatible computer or audio source following the required JBL Portable app firmware update. The JBL Portable app additionally provides software updates, support and customisable audio controls.

Despite its powerful output and large internal battery, the Charge 6 remains highly portable at approximately 228.8 × 98.5 × 94mm and 0.99kg including the detachable handle strap.
