Overview
Take back control of your TV without monthly subscription costs with the Manhattan S4-R 500GB Freesat 4K TV Recorder. Designed for homes with an existing satellite dish, this smart recorder brings together live Freesat channels, recording, catch-up apps and 4K streaming support in one simple, modern box.
Whether you want to record your favourite series, pause live TV, enjoy free HD channels or move away from paid satellite subscriptions, the Manhattan S4-R gives you a cleaner, more flexible way to watch television on your terms.
Key Features & Benefits
- Subscription-Free Satellite TV with More ChoiceEnjoy 100+ Freesat channels, including over 35 in HD, without a monthly bill. Simply connect to your compatible satellite dish cables and start watching free-to-view UK satellite TV.
- Record Your Favourite Shows and Watch When It Suits YouThe built-in 500GB hard drive stores up to 300 hours of recordings, giving you space for films, series, documentaries and everyday TV without relying only on catch-up availability.
- Record Up to 4 Programmes at OnceWith a compatible wideband LNB setup, such as many Sky Q installations, the S4-R can record up to four programmes at once. With older satellite setups, it can record up to two, helping reduce clashes when multiple shows are on at the same time.
- Pause and Rewind Live TVPause live TV for up to two hours and rewind when needed, ideal when the phone rings, the kettle boils or you want to catch something you missed.
- Catch-Up and On-Demand Apps Built InConnect to Wi-Fi to access popular apps including BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5, YouTube and more, making it easier to move between live TV, recorded shows and on-demand entertainment.
- 4K HDR Streaming Support for Compatible ContentThe S4-R supports 4K HDR output for compatible streaming through services such as BBC iPlayer and YouTube, giving sharper detail and richer picture quality on a compatible 4K TV.
- Search Once Across Live and On-Demand TVOne search looks across live TV and supported on-demand apps, helping you find programmes faster instead of jumping between different menus and services.
- Fast, Smooth Everyday PerformanceThe built-in quad-core processor helps the interface feel responsive, making app launches, guide browsing and switching between features smoother.
- All-in-One Remote for Less ClutterThe included remote can also control your TV, helping reduce the number of remotes on your coffee table and making everyday use more convenient.
