Overview

Unfold a completely different smartphone experience with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 5G 512GB in Cream. Samsung's 2026 Fold8 introduces a lighter, more compact take on the book-style foldable, combining a pocket-friendly 5.5-inch cover screen with an expansive 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display for entertainment, multitasking, browsing and creative work.

Despite its dual-screen construction, the Fold8 weighs only 201g and measures just 4.5mm thick when unfolded, making it Samsung's lightest Z Fold design at launch. The reworked form factor uses a wider 10:16 cover display for everyday scrolling and a near-square 4:3 main screen when unfolded, giving video, books, websites and side-by-side apps significantly more room.

Performance comes from the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, combining next-generation CPU, GPU and NPU hardware for demanding apps, gaming and Samsung's expanding Galaxy AI features. This 512GB version is paired with 12GB RAM, while the substantial internal storage gives users room for high-resolution photos, 8K video, apps, downloads and documents.

Photography is handled by an unusual dual 50-megapixel rear camera system. The main 50MP wide camera features F1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel AF and optical image stabilisation, while a second 50MP F1.9 ultra-wide camera expands the field of view for architecture, landscapes and group photography. Separate 10MP cameras on both the cover and main displays provide flexibility for calls and selfies regardless of whether the phone is open or closed.

The Fold8 is also built around Galaxy AI and One UI 9, with features such as Photo Assist, My FanCam, multi-window productivity and context-aware assistance making particular use of the folding display. Android 17 and One UI 9 are installed at launch.

A 4,800mAh dual battery supports up to 45W wired charging, 20W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare, while Samsung rates video playback at up to approximately 26 hours under its test conditions.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 was announced on 22 July 2026, with European retail availability beginning 7 August 2026.
