Overview

Gear up, get inked and head into a completely new kind of Splatoon adventure with Splatoon Raiders for Nintendo Switch 2, the first standalone spin-off in Nintendo's colourful Splatoon series.

Built specifically for Nintendo Switch 2, Splatoon Raiders takes the familiar ink-splattering action in a fresh direction with a single-player-focused treasure-hunting adventure built around raids, character progression, loot, equipment upgrades and waves of dangerous Salmonids.

You play as the Mechanic, who becomes stranded alongside Deep Cut – Shiver, Frye and Big Man – on the mysterious Spirhalite Islands following an emergency landing. With no straightforward way home, your new mission is to explore the islands, uncover their secrets, hunt for treasure and collect everything needed to strengthen your equipment and crew.

Each expedition follows an addictive splat, loot, upgrade and repeat gameplay loop. Venture into dangerous locations, defeat Salmonids, collect weapons and valuable materials, then return to the Hideout Ship to improve your gear before taking on tougher challenges and more valuable raids.

Combat is significantly more customisable than a conventional Splatoon campaign. Nintendo confirms 11 different weapon types with more than 100 weapon variations to discover, including versions that can favour attributes such as greater range or improved ink efficiency. Weapons become stronger as they level up, giving every successful raid the potential to improve your future loadout.

Your equipment goes beyond weapons. Choose between Speed, Power and Tactical Ink Tanks, each built around a different play style and supported by unique gadgets. Earn Skill Points as you progress, upgrade your tanks, equip Relic Powers and modify your build to create a setup that suits the way you want to fight.

Although designed around a substantial solo adventure, Splatoon Raiders can also be enjoyed with friends. Nintendo supports 2–4 players through local wireless or online play, allowing up to three other Raiders to join you on expeditions. Online assistance can also earn Help Bonuses containing weapons, gadget components and other useful materials.
