Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Lite Wi-Fi 7 Access Point

Overview

Upgrade your home, office or business network with the Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Lite, a compact Wi-Fi 7 access point built to deliver faster wireless performance, greater network capacity and modern 2.5GbE connectivity.

Designed for clean ceiling or wall installation, the U7 Lite combines 4-stream Wi-Fi 7, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios and a high-speed 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink in a discreet UniFi form factor.

Whether you're improving Wi-Fi coverage in a home, upgrading a small office or expanding an existing UniFi deployment, the U7 Lite provides a straightforward route to next-generation wireless networking without the cost or complexity of a larger enterprise access point.

Key Features & Benefits

• Upgrade to Next-Generation Wi-Fi 7 – The U7 Lite brings Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to compatible devices, giving modern laptops, smartphones and network hardware access to higher wireless throughput and improved efficiency.

• Handle More Wireless Traffic with 4 Spatial Streams – A 4-stream wireless architecture provides additional capacity for busy networks where several users may be streaming, downloading or working at the same time.

• Enjoy Fast 5GHz Performance – The 5GHz radio supports theoretical data rates up to 4.3Gbps with 240MHz channel width, helping compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices take advantage of much higher wireless bandwidth.

• Keep Everyday Devices Connected on 2.4GHz – The 2.4GHz radio supports rates up to approximately 688Mbps, providing strong compatibility for smart-home equipment and other devices that rely on longer-range 2.4GHz connectivity.

• Avoid a Gigabit Ethernet Bottleneck – The built-in 2.5GbE RJ45 uplink gives the access point significantly more wired bandwidth than a conventional 1GbE connection, helping high-speed Wi-Fi traffic reach the rest of your network efficiently.

• Cover Large Everyday Spaces – Ubiquiti rates the U7 Lite for approximately 115m² / 1,250ft² of coverage, making it suitable for homes, offices, shops and other moderate-sized indoor environments.

• Support Busy Networks with 200+ Clients – The U7 Lite is designed to handle more than 200 connected client devices, giving it useful capacity for environments with many phones, laptops, tablets and IoT devices.

• Install Cleanly on a Ceiling or Wall – The included Lite Mount supports both ceiling and wall installation, making it easier to position the access point where wireless coverage will be most effective.

• Power It Through a Single Ethernet Cable – Standard PoE power lets network data and power travel over the same cable, reducing the need for a separate mains power socket at the mounting location.

• Build a Seamless UniFi Network – Support for wireless meshing, band steering, fast roaming and radio resource management helps multiple UniFi access points work together more effectively across larger properties.

• Create Professional Guest Wi-Fi – UniFi supports features such as branded captive portals, voucher authentication, guest isolation and Wi-Fi speed limits, making the U7 Lite useful for offices, shops and hospitality environments as well as homes.

• Separate Devices and Users More Securely – Features including private pre-shared keys, client isolation and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLAN support give administrators more control over how different users and devices access the network.

• Keep Power Consumption Low – Maximum power consumption is approximately 13W, allowing the access point to deliver modern Wi-Fi performance without requiring excessive power.

• Compact Enough for Discreet Installation – At approximately 171.5mm in diameter and 33mm thick, the U7 Lite sits relatively unobtrusively on a ceiling or wall.

Why Choose This Product?

The Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Lite is designed for users who want to move to Wi-Fi 7 without installing a larger and more expensive enterprise access point.

Its 2.5GbE uplink and 4-stream wireless architecture provide the bandwidth needed for modern high-speed networks, while UniFi management features make it much more capable than a conventional consumer Wi-Fi extender.

For existing UniFi users, it fits naturally into the wider ecosystem and can be centrally managed alongside switches, gateways and additional access points. For new installations, it offers a clean, scalable foundation for a high-performance wired and wireless network.
