The FireAngel HM-SN-1 represents a 230V mains-powered heat alarm equipped with a tamper-proof sealed-for-life battery backup and the ability to interlink with other alarms through hard-wiring. It typically consumes around 10% less power compared to the average AC fire alarm, offering a battery life of 10 years.
Its integrated ultra-slim mounting base ensures straightforward installation in areas like kitchens, garages, or lofts where smoke alarms may not be suitable due to elevated levels of fumes or dust.
The 'Sleep Easy' feature allows the low battery chirp to be muted for an 8-hour duration (which can be utilized up to 10 times). In the event of a known false activation, the alarm can be temporarily silenced for up to 10 minutes. However, if it detects a high level of heat, this function will be overridden for safety, and the alarm will continue to sound. When the combined test/silence/locate button is pressed on any networked device, all connected units except the triggered one will be silenced, making it easy to identify the alarmed unit.
This product offers Class A1 heat detection and is suitable for use in Grade D1 systems. It complies with the standards set by BS 5446-2: 2003, and the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.
Interconnection
This alarm can be interconnected with up to 30 units via hard-wiring using 3-core and earth cable. When any device on the system is activated, the 85dB sounders will activate on all other interlinked units.
Wireless interlinking is also possible by adding a Smart RF / Wi-Safe 2 module, allowing for interconnection with up to 50 compatible alarms.
