Overview
WWE 2K20 is a professional wrestling video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. Released on October 22, 2019, for PlayStation 4, it marks the first entry in the series developed solely by Visual Concepts after the departure of long-time collaborator Yuke's. The game features a roster of over 200 WWE Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers, offering players an extensive selection of characters to choose from.
Product Description
WWE 2K20 introduces several new features and modes to the franchise:
-
2K Showcase Mode: Focuses on the Women's Evolution, highlighting the Four Horsewomen—Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley—and their journey to prominence in WWE.
-
My CAREER Mode: Allows players to experience the career of both a male and a female Superstar, intertwining their stories in a narrative-driven campaign.
-
2K Towers: Features a story-driven tower based on the career of Roman Reigns, along with additional towers offering unique challenges and rewards.
-
Mixed Tag Matches: Introduces intergender tag team matches, allowing male and female Superstars to team up in the ring.
Despite these additions, the game received criticism for various technical issues, including graphical glitches, inconsistent AI behavior, and a lack of polish in certain areas. These issues led to a less favorable reception compared to previous entries in the series.
