Return to PAC-LAND in PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC for PlayStation 5, a full remake of the much-loved 2002 3D platforming adventure rebuilt with modern graphics, expanded environments, updated boss battles, new actions, collectables, character customisation and a brand-new 2-player local co-op mode.

Developed by NOW PRODUCTION Co., Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Re-PAC takes the foundation of the original PAC-MAN WORLD 2 and substantially modernises it for a new generation. Bandai Namco describes the game as being remade from scratch while retaining the core gameplay and personality that made the original so popular.

The adventure begins after the Ghosts sneak into PAC-Village and steal the magical Golden Fruit. Their actions accidentally release the immensely powerful Ghost King Spooky, leaving PAC-MAN with no choice but to travel across PAC-LAND, reclaim the fruit and stop Spooky before he causes even greater trouble.

Across six distinct worlds, PAC-MAN runs, jumps, chomps and butt-bounces through environments ranging from open meadows and forest treetops to snowy mountains, volcanic landscapes, underwater areas and Ghost Island. Each location introduces different platforming challenges and mechanics rather than simply repeating the same style of stage.

Classic PAC-MAN WORLD moves return alongside new and revised abilities. Rev Roll across Paradise Meadows, Flutter Jump over hazards, fire PAC-Dot attacks, bounce across enemies and use specialised sequences such as ice skating and piloting the PAC-Marine.

Re-PAC also expands the original game's levels and PAC-Village hub area, adds new collectables and customisation options, modernises boss battles and introduces full English voice acting for the main characters.

One of the biggest additions is two-player couch co-op. For the first time in the PAC-MAN WORLD series, a second local player can join the adventure, making the game particularly suitable for families, younger players and friends who want to experience the campaign together on one console.

The PS5 version officially supports 1–2 offline players, Remote Play and DualSense controller vibration. It does not require an online multiplayer subscription for the core game because its multiplayer functionality is local rather than online.
