How to wipe your laptop before selling it
MacBook: back up with Time Machine or iCloud, sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My Mac. On recent Macs, go to System Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Windows laptop: back up your files, sign out of your Microsoft account, then go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC and choose Remove everything.
We can't process a laptop that is still locked to an account, so make sure Find My Mac or any BIOS password is removed.
