- Make sure your save data is backed up with Nintendo Switch Online, or transferred to your new console.
- If this is your primary console for the Nintendo eShop, deregister it from your Nintendo Account so your games work on your next console.
- Remove any microSD card.
- Reset it: System Settings > System > Formatting Options > Initialize Console.
